Tomorrow was the war is a video of a video game. It is a labyrinth of words. Labyrinth is built with the titles of articles published in Georgian newspapers about the war in Abkhazia. Titles of articles are some kind of history, the reflection of time that mirrors relations and thoughts of the time even without reading the articles themselves. Titles are something like documentary poetry in which we read history. Words turned into the labyrinth is a metaphor for the condition in which Georgia-Abkhazian relations remain today. It is the maze of history, in which thread is lost and every new word turns into a new wall. “Tomorrow was the war” means constant repetition of the past, going around in circles in an infinite loop. The work was created during the Museum of Photography and Multimedia Tbilisi’s residency "Subtropical Cultures".
